Sherman Oaks work tends to start with a designer's fixture schedule, not with a materials list. Someone has already picked the pendants over the island, the sconces in the powder room, and the trim finish in the great room, and the electrician's job is to make that schedule buildable — right housings, right drivers, right dimming, right color temperature across every fixture in the same sight line.
That is the part we are useful for. The housing stock south of Ventura climbs into the hills — postwar ranches that have been added onto twice, midcentury hillside homes on caissons, and full custom rebuilds. Panels get replaced, subpanels go into additions and garages, and circuits get added for induction ranges, EV charging, steam showers, and equipment that did not exist when the house was wired.

Two things sink otherwise finished lighting jobs in this part of the Valley, and both are avoidable at the order stage.
The first is dimming compatibility. A decorative pendant with an integral driver, a run of cove tape on a remote driver, and a recessed downlight on a third driver do not all behave the same on one dimmer. Flicker, dropout at the bottom of the range, and buzzing usually trace back to a mismatch that was set the day the material was ordered. We carry Lutron and Leviton control and will talk through what the fixtures on your schedule actually want before you buy the dimmers.
The second is color temperature. Open-plan remodels put kitchen downlights, under-cabinet linear, island pendants, and a dining fixture in one sight line. If they are not specified to the same color temperature — and ideally from lines that render color consistently — the room reads wrong no matter how good the fixtures are. Selectable-temperature product helps, but it only helps if somebody sets every unit to the same position before the ceiling closes.
