Sherman Way runs east–west across the Valley and our counter sits on it. From North Hollywood that is one road, no freeway, no interchange.
North Hollywood is the densest ground we serve. Wood-frame apartment buildings from the fifties and sixties sitting next to four- and five-story mixed-use built in the last decade, and between them a stock of one-story commercial buildings along Lankershim and Magnolia that keep getting converted — a warehouse into a black box theater, a storefront into a restaurant, a garage into studio space. The Arts District generates a steady run of adaptive-reuse permits, and adaptive reuse is the messiest kind of electrical material list there is.
That work does not buy neatly. You are matching new circuits to existing panels, running surface raceway where you cannot open a wall, feeding stage and gallery lighting off a service that was sized for retail, and pulling permits on a building whose as-builts are wrong. What a NoHo crew needs from a supply house is breadth and a counter that will figure out what an odd part actually is.
The multifamily side is the opposite: the same twenty items, over and over, in volume. Unit turns, common-area retrofits, corridor and stairwell lighting, exterior wall packs, laundry and trash room fixtures, bath fans. We cut wire to length rather than making you buy a full spool for a three-unit job, and we quote a repeat list the same day so a property manager can approve it and keep the schedule moving.
Every buyer gets wholesale pricing. Electrical contractors, handymen on a building's maintenance list, owners doing their own unit turns, and designers speccing a restaurant build — same shelf, same price.

The conversions along Lankershim and Magnolia are the least predictable work we supply, and the most interesting to fill.
When a building changes use, the electrical almost never comes along for free. A retail bay becoming a rehearsal room needs quiet, dimmable lighting on circuits that were sized for fluorescent strips. A warehouse becoming a theater needs stage circuits, house lighting, and a control scheme that a volunteer can run. A garage becoming production space needs receptacles everywhere and a subpanel to feed them.
Practically, that means exposed EMT and surface work where walls cannot be opened, MC where they can, subpanels and disconnects, Lutron or Enerlites control, and track and monopoint lighting that can be re-aimed when the room changes again. It also means a lot of adapters, reducers, and fittings that a big-box aisle does not carry. Bring the odd part in and we will identify it.
